Daggers, or as they are called in the old tongue, "Cledyrs", are a new addition to a warrior's arsenal. These are OFFHAND ONLY equipment and are substitutes for Shield.  Daggers can be obtained by acquiring enough fragments which are made from shards (more on this later). To give you an idea of how this affects melee combat, heres a table to compare the stats of shields and daggers.

Crossbows have DOUBLE the input amount of Bows. While they are stronger, they are more costly to use.

New Add-Ons
You'll also notice 2 new add-ons to arrows: Fool's Berry Extract and Lumelila Toxin which adds +7 and +12 attack per treated arrow! That's up to +24 Ranged Attack from add-ons alone! These can be obtained via Alchemy's new subskill, Brew. Add-Ons require Fletching LVs to use.

Books
Mages are not going to fall behind in this update as they have their own new weapons and spells. Mages are introduced to a new way of using magic. Instead of channeling magic through a staff, they are now able to channel different magic through spoken and written words using tomes and manuscripts.  Lets compare the bonuses of staves and books.

Primordial Chests
Omni Key
Primordial Chests are exclusive to the woodcutting profession and it requires an Omni Key to open. They primarily contain Primodial Shards but can occasionally contain Aether and Arcane Shards as well.
The Omni Key is the only key that can open Primordial, Aether, Arcane, Astral, and Void Chests. They can be obtained via Combat from the Mountain Monsters:

The Story

After the recent earthquake that brought about explainable overgrowths, unusual wildlife activity, and the emergence of monsters in the Mountain's Peaks, crystals of pure energy called "Shards" began appearing around the kingdom as well. These shards came in different colors and somehow resonate with magic. The heroes of the story began collecting and studying these new found crystals.

Through their research, they found out that these shards are not just crytallized forms of pure energies-- they were also used as repositories of knowledge from a long forgotten civilization. This mysterious civilization preserved their knowledge in the form of fragments and protected it from outsiders by splitting these fragments into their components: crystalized forms of pure energies. They understood the world and magic in ways beyond comprehension of the current Diatas. They mastered and manipulated the five energies that govern our world:

Primordial shard.png

Primordial Energy is the energy of life and nature. It emerges from the deepest void and is the seed of all creation. It is the bridge between nothingness and to that which has physical form.

Aether shard.png

Aether Energy is the energy of physical matter and form. The link between the tangible and intangible. It arises from raw primal energy and transitions into Arcane Energy.

Arcane shard.png

Arcane Energy is the energy of the elements- Fire, Earth, Wind, Water. These forces shape our physical world and other celestial bodies which then transforms into Astral Energy.

Astral shards.png

Astral Energy is the energy of the heavens and deities. It embodies celestial phenomena like weather, time, and gravity. All astral energy inevitably turns into void energy.

Void shard.png

Void energy is the energy that comes from infinity and nothingness at the same time. It is infinite possibilities within absolute emptiness and from it, primordial energy is born.

And now, the heroes continue their quest, scouring the lands for these shards to piece together the fragments of lost knowledge. Why did they go through such extent to preserve their knowledge? What happened to them? Each shard they uncover brings them closer to understanding the wisdom of the ancient civilization—its mastery of energies, its culture, and its story.

Introducing the New Farming Skill:

Farming intro.png

The Farming Skill is an Evolved-Only skill that has 2 sub skills, Gathering which lets you Forage the wild for readily available food, materials and ingredients; and Cultivating which allows you to grow the seeds you gather into useful resources.

Gathering

Gathering intro.png

Gathering is the bread and butter of Farming and is the only way to get Fertile Soil and Seeds which are needed in Cultivating. Gathering doesnt really consume anything but it mainly requires that you have the appopriate pass(can be bought from the shop) for the target locations. Here's a quick cheatsheet:

Cultivating

Cultivating intro.png

Growing the gathered seeds from the wild may be the most efficient way to reproduce rare materials for alchemy. It requires a prepared farming plot (these are produced via Crafting. More info on that below), some seeds, and some bonemeal as fertilizer. Heres a table for that:

Recipe Min Farming LV Exp per hour Input 1 Qty Input 2 Qty Input 3 Qty Output Qty
Small Plot - Wild Seed 10 100 Small Plot 1 Wild Seed 20 BONEMEAL 2500 Wild Sprout 16

On a Exp/Seed angle, this is what it looks like:

Seed XP per Seed QTY per hour XP per hour
Wild Seed 5 20~80 100~400
Unknown Seed 10 20~80 200~800
Mysterious Seed 15 20~80 300~1200
Obscure Seed 40 20~40 800~1600
Ancient Seed 100 20 2000
Cultivation actions are locked as 8-hours per action and each cultivating action will take 1 action slot. This means that to Cultivate for 8 hours, you must queue 3 8-hour queues (no 24-h single action cultivating).

Melee Combat Skill

Daggers intro.png

Daggers, or as they are called in the old tongue, "Cledyrs", are a new addition to a warrior's arsenal. These are OFFHAND ONLY equipment and are substitutes for Shield. Daggers can be obtained by acquiring enough fragments which are made from shards (more on this later). To give you an idea of how this affects melee combat, heres a table to compare the stats of shields and daggers.

For shields:

Ranged Combat Skill

Crossbows intro.png

Rangers also get a new type of weapon: Crossbows. These crossbows are called "Kiel" (which means "Fang" in the old tongue) because of the "snake bite" wounds from these double-firing weapons. Lets compare Bows and Crossbows with these tables:

New Add-Ons
Addons intro.png

You'll also notice 2 new add-ons to arrows: Fool's Berry Extract and Lumelila Toxin which adds +7 and +12 attack per treated arrow! That's up to +24 Ranged Attack from add-ons alone! These can be obtained via Alchemy's new subskill, Brew. Add-Ons require Fletching LVs to use.

Magic Combat Skill

Books intro.png

First lets look at the Staves:

Staff Min Level Req MeleeAttack MagicAttack RangedAttack MeleeDefence MagicDefence RangedDefence HealthStat
Totem Staff 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
Sapphire Staff 10 0 4 0 0 0 0 0

Book Spells
Spells intro.png

Books have their own set of spells. They use the same resources as their staff counterparts however, the minimum level requirement for spell progression is a bit higher for books. To give you a better picture of that, check out this spell comparison table:

Hex vs Death Wave +15 +8
Torrent Surge vs Vortex +12 +8
