Estfor's Pet System and EVERYTHING you need to know about it.

To start, lets answer the basic FAQs first:

FAQ 1. What are Pets/Eggs?

What do they do?  How can I get one? How many types are there?

  • Pets are a current addition to the Combat system. This feature(equipping/hatching/etc) is reserved for Evolved Heroes.
  • Pet are "equipped" on top of the gear selections for massive combat boosts.
  • Pets are obtained by Hatching Eggs.
  • Pet can be renamed.

Eggs

  • There are currently 5 types of eggs:

T1 genesis.png Genesis Eggs: Can be created using Incubation(more on this later)

T1 og egg.png OG Tester Eggs: Given to people who played during the alpha/beta period of the game. This can no longer be minted. Pets show a Beardie Icon.

T1 1kin.png 1Kin Eggs: Starter Item given to people who mint a Hero via the 1KIN Portal and reach Lv 20. Pets show the 1Kin Icon.

T1 frost egg.png Frost Eggs: December 2023 Event loot. This can no longer be minted. Pets show the Frost icon.

T1 crystal.png Crystal Eggs: December 2023 Event loot. This can no longer be minted. Pets show the Crystal icon.

Pets

  • There are 8 different kinds of Pets. Each pet has a FixedStat and a PercentStat Bonus (based on the hero's skill level)

Genesis tigret 1.png Tigret: Adds Fixed Melee Attack + additional Melee Attack based on user's Melee Skill Level. Requires Melee Skill to equip.

Genesis humfinch 1.png Humfinch: Adds Fixed Ranged Attack + additional Ranged Attack based on user's Ranged Skill Level. Requires Ranged Skill to equip.

Genesis flitterfly 1.png Flitterfly:  Adds Fixed Magic Attack + additional Magic Attack based on user's Magic Skill Level. Requires Magic Skill to equip.

FAQ 2. What are tiers?

What does it mean for Eggs and Pets? What are the differences between the eggs? What are the stars for?

  • All Eggs start at Tier 1
  • All pets come from an egg of equal Tier (ie, if you hatch a tier 3 egg, you get a tier 3 pet).
  • Pets can NOT tier up once they are out of the egg.
  • The only way to increase the tier of pets is by increasing the tier of eggs they hatch from via Incubate.
  • Higher Tiered Eggs produce higher Tiered Pets. And higher the tier, the better stat range values the pet gets.
  • Each type of egg have a set of Stats per each Pet/Tier.

Genesis Eggs: considered "base stats"

OG Tester Eggs: gets 50% increase in Fixed and Percent Stats than Genesis Eggs.

1kin Eggs: have higher Minimum Values but lower Maximums Values than Genesis Eggs.

Frost Eggs: gains 50% more Fixed Values but 50% less Percent Values than Genesis Eggs.

Crystal Eggs: gains 50% more Percent Values but 50% less Fixed Values than genesis eggs.

  • The higher the Tier, the higher the Minimum Skill Required to equip the pet.
  • The Stars are indicators that a pet has rolled a stat >= 80th percentile. There are two stars: Fixed Star and Percent Star. The two stars activate independent of each other.
  • Dual Stat pets(Haermit, Prodhog, Octie) use both Attack and Defence values to determine their Stars.

THE PET FARM

Now that you have an idea of the Pet system, lets tackle the Pet Farm tab and Passive Actions:

The pet update unlocks the Pet Farm tab in the side bar and there are 3 tabs available under the Pet Farm Menu: Incubate, Hatch, and Pets.

This update also unlocks Passive Actions, a separate action slot from the 3 Active Action Slot.

INCUBATE

On this tab, the player selects an Output Egg.

  • Incubating allows the player to produce a higher tiered egg or create a Genesis T1 Egg.
  • Incubate uses a Passive Action Slot: THERE IS ONLY ONE PASSIVE ACTIVE SLOT.
Genesis Tier 1 Egg: takes 3 days + 5K Paper + 50K Bonemeals + 50k Ashes. Requires lv 10 Alchemy + Evolved Hero
Tier 2 Egg: takes 5 days + a Tier 1 Egg. Requires Lv 25 Alchemy + Lv 30 Fishing + Lv 30 Cooking + Evolved Hero
Tier 3 Egg: takes 8 days + a Tier 2 Egg. Requires Lv 35 Alchemy + Lv 40 Mining + Lv 40 Woodcutting + Evolved Hero
Tier 4 Egg: Takes 13 days + a Tier 3 Egg. Required Lv 45 Alchemy + Lv 50 Smithing + Lv 50 Firemaking + Evolved Hero
Tier 5 Egg: Takes 21 days + a Tier 4 Egg. Required Lv 55 Alchemy + Lv 60 Fletching + Lv 40 Forging + Evolved Hero
A total of 50 days from creating a Tier 1 to Tier 5.
  • IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS:

1. Starting an Incubate Passive Action immediately burns the items/eggs. If you cancel the passive action before it finishes, then consider them wasted because IT WILL NOT RETURN YOUR MATERIALS.

2. Higher Tiered Eggs means Higher Tiered Pets which means higher level requirements to equip the pet itself. Consider Outcomes (ie. Frost Eggs has higher fixed values and lower percent values. Fixed stats are more useful in the early game.)

HATCH

On this tab, the player can turn eggs into pets.

  • Hatching Eggs allows the player to transform an egg into 1 of 8 Pets. The stats of the chosen pet are also randomly drawn of a set range.
  • The chances of drawing pets are equal.
  • Hatching is an instantVRF action which uses the Oracle to draw a result. It is similar to Revealing in Forging Skill. It does not affect the player's Active and Passive Actions.  Results are final.
  • Once a Pet is born, it can NOT Tier up anymore NOR can it return to egg status.
  • Only 64 Eggs can be hatched at a time.
There are upto 289271 Unique Pets across all Eggs and Tiers!

PETS

On this tab, the player can view/transfer his collection of Pets.

  • Up to 1000 Pets can be viewed at a time. When over 1000+ pets, you can only view the last 1000 pets that entered your wallet. You need to use the search bar to view the pets you cant see.
  • All pets are transferrable.
  • Pets can be renamed for FREE.
  • Pet names cannot begin with "Pet " and normal naming rules apply (no swear words, etc)
  • Pets do not have upkeep. They will not die/deteriorate and they do not have to eat anything.
  • Level Requirements to equip a pet varies per pet/tier. Egg Type does not change the level requirements.
